On a multi camber (Never Summer lasagne, Heritage for instance), I noticed in hard pack, say getting off a lift on icy conditions while flat basing, it’s like riding a saucer sled. Absolutely no control, no bite on the tip or tail. Sucks. Incredible in powder though!

Still watching and learning. I’m going into my 2nd true season this coming year. I’ve learned regular riding, I took the time to learn switch(which was difficult but WORTH IT!!). I learned a lot especially hitting small jumps and knuckles now. Switch is your best friend! It’s saved me from so many falls. Learn slowly as I did and keep going back like I am to relearn and maybe catch something I missed.

@tommiebennett do you detune your edges at all for rails? I've comfortably started to hit BS boardslides on boxes and flat rails like the one in this video, but I attempted one on a PVC coated tube and my toe edge immediately got stuck in the tube and I fell forward. I can do without boardslides on tubes to be honest, but I'm worried about the same thing happening if I attempt it on a street style rail.

So true about opening up and creating the core tension that makes your lower body want to line up with your shoulders. Don't underplay twisting the board to skid and that your feet are what actually snowboard
